So this was it... I had made my decision. I was not about to ask these people to fight and die and not be willing to do the same.

Beside something inside me was screaming for this battle...

As we unloaded on Hectis, I gave my commands...

Kameal would lead our ships in battle around the planet... I would lead the troops...

As Galen mounted Shiara whom had taken her Dragon form, I demanded that the cities and everything be burned to ash... I wanted all burn to the ground and the Corru in a panic running toward my sword...


I gave the signal and the troops followed me


I charged swinging a sword I had taken from Rayan.

I saw the Corru charging toward me and heard the sound of fire around but all I wanted to see was blood...

The first head fell to the side as I leaped over the body and took two more... I used none of my magical skills only my fighting skills. Which were a combination of my mom's and dad's...

I heard HS shout for me to stop... As I saw his fireballs hit some Corru ... I would not stop until I reached the end of the heard charging at me...

In the heat of battle I had grabbed one Corru and slung him in another thrusting my sword in them both and then letting them fall as I turned bare handed to another.

I shape shifted talons and ripped at many Corru's throats and threw one chest pulling out his heart and throwing it a side...



I heard HS and then Galen as Shiara swooped past and Galen fell on top of two Corru Generals about to attack me from behind ..


Galen hit them both with a plasma ball...
I stood looking at Galen blood soaked in my hair and covering my face...

Ships were still fighting above us but cheers filled the ground...

I looked around and we had taken the main city...

"This is no time to celebrate! Move to the second city... If it isn't one of us, it doesn't live to see the sun set!" I yell



HS came to me... "We have a few on the run!"



"They didn't get far!" Rayan stated... 3 young Corru soldiers was thrown at my feet...

"Mercy!" "We surrender!" they cried...


All was watching.. "Shall we take these prisoners to a ship!"

"NO!" I said as I cut there restraints...

They stood grinning... "We heard you were weak..."

I took HS' sword.."NO, we don't take prisoners! They wanted a war so let's teach them the horrors of war!"

With that three heads rolled as I gave one quick thrust with the sword...

"NOW WE TAKE THIS PLANET!" I yell...

I arrived on the home of the Rebel command against the Corru Empire. After a ceremony, Kameal told me that they would hit one of the largest Corru Military cities and that they expected to loose 95% of their troops.
I was shedding tears for the task that had been given me, the crown that had been placed on my head was too heavy and just didn't fit.

What would I say to these men... After urging me to get some rest Galen left. (So I thought) A man appeared and there were shots fired.

I remember a burning sensation striking me in the chest at my shoulder and then a warm sensation slipping over me quickly...

From the flickering I realized it was a shield.. For a moment I heard Galen's voice and then I could hear nothing but the beating of my heart and my breaths that were hard to take...

I am not sure how long I was laying in pain as it seemed everything around me was slipping away, only the warmth of a body pulling at me and then someone calling to me...

It was Galen and he sounded so far away. "Stay with me Justice, help is coming."

He had his hand over the wound and I could feel heat coming from his hand as well as a pickle of a thousand needles...

Galen said he was healing me. I felt so protected lying his arms that I gave myself to him, releasing my weight so that he could support me. I was to tired to try to hold myself up anyway.

Suddenly my brother came busting in with Shiara...

"Get me a Doctor!" Galen yelled... That was the last thing I heard before I slipped into darkness...

When I woke I found my brother standing up , on guard and watch. He looked tired...
"Wha.." I tried to speak noticing the tubes running from me to machines...

HS came to me, "Justice take it easy... Someone tried to kill you but thankfully Galen was there to save you. The doctors say if he didn't heal you that you would have died."

He hung his head, "I am sorry. I was after some Mercs but... I should.."

"NO, you did fine HS." I grabbed my brother and hugged him.

HS took my hand, "I told the General that we were taking you home. The troops will have to go without you. As soon as the doctors say you are strong enough."

I went to protest but he just turned and walked out...

Was it wrong that a part of me was glad to go home? but another part was screaming at me, nagging at me.. 95% that kept going through my head...

I need to think so I rose got dressed and took a walk, I looked out over the cliffs and walked along the beaches

When the others found me they were no happy I had wandered off...


We gathered in the great dining room. Kameal looked haggard...


"Before you I beseech you, address the troops." She asked humbly, "I truly feel they will have a greater chance if there morale was lifted and that is your purpose."

"You just don't care do you!" HS yelled...

"I care I.." Kameal began but was interrupted when Shiara and HS all were yelling about how I had been put through enough...

"ENOUGH!" I said rising and throwing my napkin on the table, "ALL OF YOU JUST STOP IT!"

I ran out and back to my room...


Soon Galen appeared... I said nothing just stared out the window...

After staring at my back for some time in silence he spoke, "Penny?"


I glance over my shoulder... he continued, "for your thoughts. I am a great listener."

I sighed and then spoke, "Galen I have come to a decision. One that will make many unhappy. HS, Shiara and even General Kameal. I need your support in this matter." I turned to face him...

"If I may ask what is that decision?" He looked puzzled...

"I will give my decision tonight when I address all the troops. I hope you will be on my side when I do." I turned away again...

He stood his eyes peering me in the back with a concern look...

For the rest of the day I refused to be seen... I would not even see HS, no one until I walked out to address all who would hear...

I would not just address these troops here but the transmission would be sent out too all the rebel bases and ships. I told the man not to scramble the transmission. What I had to say would be heard by everyone... Even Earth...



Everyone gasp as I walked out... "Before I fully address you I think I must thank the one who save my life. " I walked to Galen and gave him a kiss...

Then I turned to the troops and placed on my head a battle Helm....

As I spoke I felt something in my heart burn ....

"For a long time The Corru Empire has killed our peoples, rapes our homes and worlds and taken all that we have but they failed to take our SPIRIT and our FIRE... You have been patient, you have tried diplomacy and talk but this is not the time for idle chatter... Bah! this is the time for WAR! because it is what they want and it is what they deserve! Tonight we give our answer that the line has been drawn and we will not be bullied any more!!! Tonight I go to show the the Corru that I am not afraid of them and fully intend on defeating them. When the sunrises tomorrow all will know that the Corru Empire is not as strong as they think. I go to fight and I invite you to join me in this battle."

And everywhere Rebel troops cheer and yell, "We are with you!"

A Masquerade Ball journal entry for: Tuesday, February 12, 2008 today's crossovers:

It's for a Party

It took some begging but my parents let me go to the Carnival without HS.

Lady Melissa had a mansion but not like ours. She had bought an old town and had the buildings rebuilt to look Vinician. Then she dug out the streets and filled them with water. So it was like being in Venice.

It was beautiful. I wasn't sure how she new me.

I only saw her from a far as guest poured in...




As first it was cool. Music, confetti candy dancing...

It was almost magical, It really was hard to believe this was real.




So many people came in such colorful costumes...
There were so many masks... Not to mention the beads that were being tossed..

but something was strange about it all...


"Have a dance my pretty?" the old creepy guy asked...


I ran, I ran and it was weird... The Venice like town vanish and I was like lost in this bizarre world.




I crumbled to the ground and cried...








Maybe I shouldn't have come here...
Another weirdo came up dancing. "Would you like to dance?"

"No she wouldn't! She is with me!" I turned to the voice and saw Galen...

The creep ran and some of the weirdness went away...


"Galen?" I said standing up...

"Hello, Justice. I see Lady Melissa has invited you to one of her shin-dins." Galen stood handsomely in a costume reassembling that of a British Soldier.

Seeing I was confused he continued, "She is a technomage. Shiara told her about you and she wanted to get a look at you. I do apologize for the weirdness but... Lady Melissa is ... unique in her taste... and entertains equally unique lifeforms."


I smiled, "British Soldier?"

"I thought it appropriate.." He stated and I about melted when he smiled.

I took the arm he offered and was lead back to the make believe Venice where Galen and I danced.

After Galen told me we would go to where I need to make the speech in his ship. So we met Shiara and HS and left for the Rebel base
